00Who we are

PcBuilder is a site run by Lucas Strabelli Eiras, reachable at lucas@coverguesser.com. By using the site you accept these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

01The service

PcBuilder is a free tool to compare computer components, look up specifications, estimate performance and plan a build. PcBuilder does not sell products: we are not a shop, we do not process payments and we do not take part in purchases made on other sites.

02Nature of the information

• Specifications come from public catalogues and manufacturer sources and may contain errors or be out of date.
• Estimates of performance, value for money, power draw and “best option” are indicative calculations based on the available specifications. Real performance varies with games, resolution, software, drivers and the other components.
• Guides and recommendations are informational and do not constitute professional advice.

Before buying, always confirm specifications and compatibility on the manufacturer's official page and in the shop.

03Prices and availability

The prices shown are approximate and may be out of date, converted from other currencies or exclude shipping. The valid price, stock, warranty and terms of sale are always those given by the shop at the time of purchase.

04Compatibility checking

The compatibility checker helps detect common problems (for example processor socket, memory type or power-supply wattage), but does not guarantee that all parts will work together. Case dimensions, BIOS updates, hardware revisions and other factors may not be considered.

05Affiliate links

Some links lead to partner shops and are affiliate links: if you buy through them, PcBuilder may receive a commission, at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate, PcBuilder earns from qualifying purchases.

The purchase is made directly with the shop, under that shop's terms. Any question about orders, payments, delivery, returns or warranties must be handled with the shop where you bought.

5AAdvertising

PcBuilder may show ads supplied by Google AdSense and other partners. Ads are identified as such and do not influence comparisons, estimates or recommendations. We are not responsible for the content, products or services advertised by third parties. The use of advertising cookies depends on your consent, as described in the Privacy policy.

06Permitted use

You may use PcBuilder for personal, non-commercial purposes. It is not permitted to:

• extract data from the site or the API in an automated, bulk way (scraping) without authorisation;
• try to access non-public areas, overload or disrupt the operation of the service;
• copy the design, the guide texts or the PcBuilder brand for commercial purposes without authorisation.

07Intellectual property

PcBuilder's design, logo, texts and code are protected. Brands and product names belong to their respective manufacturers and are used for identification only.

08Limitation of liability

The site is provided “as is”. We do our best to keep the information correct and the service available, but we do not guarantee that it will always be free of errors or interruptions. To the maximum extent permitted by law, PcBuilder is not responsible for purchase decisions made on the basis of the site's information, nor for third-party products, prices or services. Nothing in these terms limits the rights the law gives you as a consumer.

09Privacy

10Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the version in force. These terms are governed by Portuguese law. In the event of a consumer dispute, you may turn to a consumer dispute arbitration centre or to the European online dispute resolution platform, without prejudice to recourse to the competent courts.
